Dresses and skorts for the court
PERSIT has made women's sportswear since 2019: workout shorts, tanks with a built-in bra, and the tennis pieces below. That is 7 years of stretch fabric for people who move sideways more than forward.
Right now the range comes down to two pieces you can order in several colors: a tennis dress and a pleated skort. Workout shorts and a tank with a built-in bra come back into the catalog when they are in stock.
The tennis dress
The dress is one layer with three jobs. The bra is built in and hangs from adjustable straps that cross at the back. The shorts are sewn in underneath with a 3-inch inseam in every size, and they carry the pockets, so your phone rides on your leg and not in your hand.
The fabric is 88% polyester and 12% elastane. Elastane is the same fiber Americans call spandex, which is where the stretch comes from. It goes in the washing machine.
The skort
The skort is for players who already own tops they like. A pleated skirt sits over fitted inner shorts with a 3.5 to 4 inch inseam, and a triangle gusset in the shorts is there to stop them riding up.
It has three pockets: a hidden one in the waistband for a key or a card, a ball pocket on the left leg and a phone pocket on the right. The band is high and wide, with a drawcord inside.
Who it is made for
League players who want to arrive ready. Beginners who would rather not think about what goes under a skirt. Golfers who need somewhere for tees and a ball marker. Anyone who plays pickleball after work and walks the dog after that, in the same clothes.
